Product review | Dermaquest Essential B5 Hydrating serum

Hello everybody, for today’s product review, I want to share with you my thoughts on this product from a brand that has been a great discovery.

Dermaquest is a professional line made in the US and I discovered thanks to Sanne my esthetician from Sanne Swinkels in Amsterdam. When I went to Sanne clinic 2 years ago, she introduced me to this line, recommending a program so can targeted my skin concerns. From all the products I have a few favorites, but this one has to be the one I like the most. Let’s go to the details and you will understand.

Product name: Essential B5 Hydrating serum

Brand: Dermaquest

Main Ingredients: panthenol (a version of Vitamin B5), an excellent ingredient that stimulates the repair of the skin as well elevates the levels of hydration), Hyaluronic acid and cucumber extract that calms and soothes the skin.

Purpose: The main purpose is to hydrate you skin in a deep level. It improves the skin’s natural ability to retain moisture for lasting hydration

For whom is good: for all skin types, but specially is great for dry and dehydrated like mine. It is like a shot of hydration for your skin. Although this product is not greasy or oily at all, there is a matte version equally good that is targeted for oily skins.

When to use it: AM/PM after cleansing and your active serum.

Free of: parabens

Tested on animals: No, it is cruelty free

Safe for pregnant women: Yes

Size: 29.9 ml

My opinion: I really like this product It’s called essential for a reason, has the Vitamin B5 and the hyaluronic Acid is the perfect combination to improve the hydration level on your skin. It absorbs very quickly, and it helps your skin to retain moisture. For me is like my glasses of water I need to drink in a serum. And my skin really likes it.

A similar product is the B-Hydra Intensive serum by Drunk elephant, which is a nice product, but the Dermaquest serum is way more hydrating and effective.I can only say good things about and has become a standard on my skincare routine. The only 2 cons that it may have are: size, as it really goes fast and the price, is quite expensive.

How long did it last: It lasted almost 2 months only using it in the mornings.

Score: 4/5

Where you can buy it: you can buy directly from the Dermaquest page from your country, Amazon or the approved clinics in each country. In Amsterdam I purchase it from my esthetician Sanne Swinkels

Have you heard about Dermaquest before? What is your favorite product?
