Is February and to be honest I don’t know where January went! time is going very fast. I think this is the best time to start thinking and planning my travels for this year as there are a few things I want to check from my bucket list and a few events I have this year.
SPRING
The Netherlands doesn’t have many national holidays, but the stars aligned for 2020 and some of the holidays are on Mondays and Fridays so there are a few long weekends we have, and I will make the most of them. Some ideas I have are:
We have 3 long weekends and here are a couple of destinations I’m thinking of going:

Every friend that has visited this city in Scotland have told me many great things about it.

On April 27th is King’s day and the whole nation celebrate the birthday of the king by going on a boat dressed up in orange and have a party. so we are staying home that weekend to celebrate!.

This is a beautiful city in the South a France with an impressive castle, surrounded by vineyards, so We will be going to enjoy late spring and have some vino and queso.
SUMMER
My favorite season of the year, where the days are longer and the sun is out (hopefully we have a better summer than last year, fingers crossed.
We don’t have many holidays, but this will be the time to enjoy some personal ones and crossed a couple of destinations from out list

Beach!!!!!!! Summer will be full of beach, sun and salt on my hair. Our destinations will be the beautiful Island of Menorca, Spain. We want to enjoy this holiday with a slow pace and enjoying as much as possible. And some scuba diving as well.

My uncle has a huge birthday this year, so we will spend a weekend where my family is from a and enjoy the festivities.

This will be the main holiday and we are still thinking which country we should do the Safari in Africa. Also, we are still debating if we are going at all as one option is going to the Safari, which is a dream for my boyfriend or going to a diving holidays as we haven’t done it in 2 years. We will probably make the decision in the next couple of months and start booking.

We have a wedding of a dear friend in October in the beautiful island
WINTER

And last but not least we will be spending Xmas with my In-laws and having
So there you have it! For right now, the many trips planned altogether. Although it sounds like a lot, at least they’re all pretty well spaced. None of the dates have been set in stone yet, but at least we have a list where and when we want to visit and will give us time to look for some good deals and ticket sales.
