My opinion: Vitamin C is a must in my routine as it helps deal with the dryness and hyper pigmentation, but most important promotes collagen production. I have a tried some vit C serums and there are 4 things I look in them:
- My skin after a month of use feels softer and brighter, this is subjective quality, but you know your skin and you know what works and doesn’t.
- At least 10-% of L-Ascorbic acid.
- Colorless if is a serum. This is important, because Vitamin C is not very stable on its own, so it oxidized (turns yellow-orange) and after that the serum is not doing anything on your skin. If it comes in a cream/lotion form, it’s ok.
- Absorbs very quickly
C-Firma meets 2 out of my criteria (2&4), don’t get me wrong is a nice serum, but my skin didn’t feel anything different or improvement and for the price tag you will expect an effect. Also, the color of the serum is orange, which me is not good as I can’t see if still the serum is ok or not. I have the date of expiration, but the best sign to see if you Vic C serum is ok is with the color. This is a big no for me.
Don’t get me wrong I like the brand and they have some stellar products, but unfortunately the C-firma did not nothing for me.
