Empties | June 2020

June was a month of changes, as the Netherlands starting to return to “normal” or whatever than means and we had the best weather so far. I felt I was on holiday but wasn’t. Business are starting to reopen and there is a sense of caution and hope of what is to come.

Also June is where I used up many products some I like and are already favorites for me and some others are really not that good. For reference here is my rating scale.

😍 I love it! – 😊 I like it, included it in my rotation list – πŸ˜‘ is ok, nothing spectacular

πŸ˜’ I didn’t it like it at all.

FACE

😍 The Body Shop – Camomile Cleansing Butter – An excellent product , this is like my third one I have used in the last year. It is effective, gentle to the skin and affordable. The best. Always on my stash.

πŸ˜’ Vichy Liftactiv Supreme night cream – Didn’t like it at all. Expensive for what it does, there are many moisturizer with much better price that performs way better. I wrote a post with my full review. I won’t buy it again.

😍 Retirides – Vitamin A 0.05% – Excellent retinol from the pharmacy , but you have to be very careful as it is strong. I used before ethe 0.025% and slowly I was able to use it every night without a problem. When I upgraded to 0.05%, after 4 months I managed to use it 3 times per week, every other day. It is that strong. But is a great product. I wrote a detailed review here.

😊 Jordan Samuel soothing facial oil – Beautiful facial oil that is lightweight and absorbs quickly. High quality blend of great oils. Perfect when you need to sooth you skin after using strong products like acids or retinol. I highly recommend it. I wrote a full post on this.

😊 Avene Thermal spring water – Great mist to refresh your face, set your makeup or hydrate your skin during the day when you need it. This size is 50 ml and I always keep it in my bag and I have one on my office desk. Simple, affordable and effective.

πŸ˜’ Tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour full coverage – A foundation that is not for dry skin . It looks cakey and you look older as it emphasizes ALL your lines and wrinkles. Nope, not buying it again.

HAIR

😊 Le Petit Marsellais – Shea butter and honey conditioner 1 min – Excellent product for fragile and damaged hair, you only need to leave it on for 1 minute and then rinse it. Super affordable and smells really good.

Do you have any empties from June or products you continue to purchase again and again?

I would love to hear from you in the comments!

Note: there are no affiliate links in this post and I have purchased all the products mentioned
