Continuing with the review of 2021 series, today we will be covering: Moisturizers.
I used a great deal of moisturizers during the year, as my face is dry and during winter I apply way more. And to be honest I really love applying them on my skin. It is a very soothing thing for me.
Here is the very interesting list of products I used up in 2021.
The stars
Embryolisse – Lait Creme Concentre – One of the best moisturizers I have use. I first bought back in 2017 while I was visiting Paris and since the I have been using countless times. Leaves my skin super hydrated and soft and is one of the best moisturizers to use under makeup (if you have normal to dry skin. And the best part? it is super affordable.
Origins Ginzing™ Ultra-Hydrating energy-boosting cream – I started trying product from Origins last year and this particular moisturizer was a pleasant discovery. It is a excellent product there is a lighter version for combination to oily skin.
Weleda – Skin Food Light Nourishing Cream – I used 2 tubes of this wonderful moisturizer and it is the perfect one for fall and winter, when you skin is drier than ever. And super affordable. Love it.
The good ones
Cerave – Facial Moisturizing Lotion – I think everybody under the sun know about Cerave and with reason. They have great products at a great price. I’m not the biggest fan of their cleansers, but this lotion is effecive. It does the job and teh price is right. It has great ingredients like ceramides, niacinamide & hyaluronic acid.
Clarins – Nutri-Lumiere Jour – Good moisturizer from Clarins. This one is especially good if you are over 40. Pricey but good. I used deluxe sample I received as a gift.
The forgettables
Strivection – SD Advanced™ PLUS Intensive Moisturizing Concentrate – This moisturizer was a huge disappointment. I read so many good reviews and raves and it is not cheap. My skin looked dull and opaque, like if the cream was too heavy on me. Terrible.
Cattier – Organic Norishing Day cream – Cattier is French brand known for their excellent face clay mask. I have used many of their products I liked. Unfortunately, this cream was not one of them. My skin did not like it, it felt heavy and not hydrating.
Purito – Dermide Cica Barrier Sleeping Pack – I’m a fan of teh Cicaplast B5 lotion from La Roche-posay. So, I wanted to try this one from Purito as an alternative. But no, It is not as good. Not buying it again.
And the best moisturizer of 2021 is…..
YONKA – Creme 28
This is one of the BEST moisturizer I have tried in a very long time. It is pricey but is worth every penny. Perfect to use AM or PM and specially target if you are 35+ and/or you have dehydrated skin. There is only one cons (not for me). Is has fragrance as it has a lot of essential oil, but I don’t mind as it is like a spa kind of fragrance. LOVE IT.
